There has been wheelbuilding in our family for over 100 years
It all started from a bicycle shop in Pallion, Sunderland that grew into a garage
(the West End Motor Garage)
where the first motorcycle to be built in sunderland was constructed
(the Palion Jap)
The wheelbuilding was at first allways part of another buisness then later on done as a hobby
Then in 1986 Northeast Wheelbuilding was set up by John R. Smith
